Cambodian Spices

Cambodians have perfected the art of blending spice paste using many ingredients like turmeric, ginger, cardamom, star anise cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves then adding other native ingredients like galangal, garlic, shallots, lemongrass, cilantro, and kaffir lime leaves to these to make the distinctively savory spice blend known as “kroeung”. The best part at the end of the class was getting to sit down with a cold beer and enjoying our dishes!
