Tribune Tower, Chicago

Tribune Tower, Chicago

Chicago considers itself the Mecca of the architectural universe and lays claim to some of the world’s most interesting skyscrapers. The Tribune Tower, built in 1925, with its neo-Gothic design is unique in that it is one of the few 20th century skyscrapers employing flying buttresses to add structural integrity. Upon completion it was billed as “the most beautiful and distinctive office building in the world”.
